Police Launch Targeted Patrols After Rise in Youth Disorder Across Pembroke Dock

Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police's Pembrokeshire South Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team have confirmed they are running targeted patrols across Pembroke Dock and the Monkton area following a volume of antisocial behaviour reports logged throughout July and into August.

The force published its antisocial behaviour update for Pembrokeshire covering the month of July on 4 August 2026, signalling that the issue remains an active policing priority as the summer holiday period reaches its midpoint.

The Dyfed-Powys Police neighbourhood policing priorities page for the Pembroke St. Mary North area lists youth-related antisocial behaviour in Pembroke Dock as a current concern, with officers committed to engaging with young people and dealing with related issues as they arise. A separate cluster of antisocial behaviour incidents has also been recorded in Monkton, prompting high-visibility patrols by neighbourhood officers working alongside partner agencies.

Officers say the aim is both to provide visible reassurance to residents and to address the root causes of the behaviour, including working with local services to support young people who may be at risk. Patrols are concentrated at times and locations where reports are most frequent, with weekends seeing a particular spike in incidents.

Dyfed-Powys Police's own Anti-Social Behaviour Action Plan for 2026 notes that street crime in Pembrokeshire rises sharply during the summer months, with nearly half of all antisocial behaviour reports received between Friday and Sunday.
